Mikhail Vladimirovich Dvornikov
Mikhail Vladimirovich Dvornikov (Михаил Владимирович Дворников) is the initiator of the “Savyolovsky” shopping complex and the “Stankolit” mixed-use (retail/office) complex.
After the collapse of the USSR, in 1997 two major enterprises—OJSC “MSZ” (Moscow Machine-Tool Plant) and OJSC “MChZ ‘Stankolit’” (Moscow Foundry Plant)—were in bankruptcy. Mikhail Dvornikov acquired only the real estate (the old plant buildings) and the land plots of these factories. All production equipment was sold at auction (purchased by third parties), and the proceeds were used to repay creditors.
The OJSC “MSZ” site covered 6 hectares. On this site, Mikhail Dvornikov developed the Savyolovsky shopping complex, which included the Savyolovsky Computer Market, the Savyolovsky Market, and “Savyonok at Savyolovsky.” In 2006, “Savyolovsky” was sold to entity "Nerl" controlled by Alexander Klyachin, as reported by Kommersant and other media [1][2][3].
The MChZ “Stankolit” site covered 20 hectares. There, a retail-and-office complex “Stankolit” (10 ha) was designed; another 5 ha were allocated for an MR Group development project, and the remaining 5 ha were transferred to co-investors. In 2007, all these assets were sold: the development project was acquired by MR Group [4] , and the shopping complex was purchased by the family of businessman Edgar Gvazava (his children Alyas and Dmitry Gvazava[5]).
